Production and installation manager
The firm is producing a specially developed vending apparatus based on aquarium with real fish, which is used as additional entertaining installation for shopping centre visitors who can feed the fishes for small amount of money using an automated process and get the small price for this. By this, visitors contribute to wild life support activities via WWF.
Key responsibilities:
1. Searching for and work with materials and components suppliers.
2. Buying of the components, maintaining of warehouse stocks.
3. Organizing and planning of equipment production.
4. Organizing of apparatus installations at Shopping Centers in Moscow and regions (2-3 per week): installations planning, negotiating on installation with shopping centre engineering service and administration, preparation of an installation budget, organizing of equipment dispatch and transport to the final destination, organizing of fishes delivery, installation crew travel preparation, reporting on installation results to higher management, financial report preparation.
5. Installation and production staff selection, adaptation and motivation. Salary calculation.
6. Buying and operational activities budgeting and financial reporting.
7. Clients technical support (consultations on equipment work, problems resolving, resolving warranty cases).
+ Computer system of the apparatus was transferred to a new software-hardware platform (Raspberry Pi). Cost of components and time/cost of preparation of PC kits has lowered.
+ Materials and main assembly units logistics for production and ready equipment dispatch was optimized to cut unnecessary costs.
+ Buying of main materials for production needs transferred to cashless payments. New suppliers of key components for equipment production were attracted. Partnership with new transportation companies was concluded which added price and work conditions options for daily delivery activities, lowered most of material delivery.
Fish transportation to far regions was switched to air transport, which lowered the fish losses.
+ Installation crews are formed from full-time and part-time workers which allow increase installation powers when needed and do not pay for unused labor when unneeded.
As a result, production and installation capacity were increased, which allowed to deliver 2-4 installations a week instead of 1-2 prior.
